Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders walked from Abbeyfield at the top end of the High Street to Honiton Manor which is at the other end of the High Street.
The residents at Abbeyfield really loved watching the youngsters arrive and put into their section ready to move off.
Just before we moved off all the youngsters waved at the residents through the big window and the residents smiled and waved small flags.
We were lucky to have a team of adults who put on hi vis jackets and helped us to get all the youngsters across the roads safely.
When we got to Honiton Manor we renewed our promises (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders).
This was followed by a drink and biscuit and a chat with some of the residents that had come outside to say hello before we returned to the Scout Hall.
Residents at Abbeyfield and Honiton Manor were given flower plants to put into their gardens. John from Honiton Manor said “It was a lovely gesture and he hopes that everyone will enjoy watching them flower” and Abbeyfield sent us a card to say “It was a very kind gesture and much appreciated”
